My best friend is an Apple engineer and he tells me that Jobs is griping. Nevermind that his Macbook Pros are selling like hotcakes; the man has problems with the Ipod Shuffle sales. No one wants a shuffle. Not even if it’s given for free. And what’s there to like about this piece of crap anyway? – it doesn’t come with any display, has a puny capacity and does not do video playback. It has only one good market. Gym folks who play a preset list of tracks for the treadmill love it. But beyond that? Nada.
I do wonder why the stylish folks at Apple do not take the recommendation of designer Isamu Sanada when he proposed the iPod Shuffle Bracelet concept. Let it stream music to a bluetooth headset and you’ve got a killer app! What fashionista can resist such a beauty?
