Review: Sony Bravia XBR 52” LCD TV

Friday 30 May 2008 @ 12:00 am

What do I want for Christmas?

I want a big big television! And the clearest screen with the crispiest colors on the face of the planet.

Oh, Sony has it! Their XBR series has stood as the best consumer TV over the years and this year is no exception. The XBR line of full HD 1080p TV’s incorporate all of Sony’s incomparable technologies bundled in one package, with HDMI v1.3 features like Deep Color. The Motionflow 120 Hz shows more fluid motion for action-packed segments in movies. It’s got amazing detail and clarity. This is the best LCD TV to date by Sony. Just walk to the nearest store or online shop and you’ve got one.

I was looking for a down side to this TV besides its price, but I only found out more from the goody bag. A sa way of being green, the new Bravia is the industry’s lowest standby power consumption levels, thus being the greenest TV on the planet today. It’s energy-saving and environment-friendly with the Ambient Light Sensor, Power Saving Mode and Auto Power-off.

That’s why I’m totally endorsing this TV. It’s green. Green, you hear me! Save the planet! Buy a Bravia!

Review: MacBook Air Goes on Diet

Thursday 29 May 2008 @ 12:00 am

There was a time when you said Air, it meant buying a Nike. Well, no more. Nowadays, when you say Air, it means Macbook Air. They’re calling this new technology Thinnovation.

It’s the thinnest laptop ever with a full-size keyboard and a back-lit 13.3 inch display with the incomparable built-in iSight with larger trackpad for multi-touch gestures. If you remember your classic iPod, it uses the 1.8 inch 80GB drive that’s in it. No wonder it’s so thin! And it’s also th best in wireless technology! No wires, ma, so that means more freedom in carrying it anywhere. Work in the park, in the coffee shop, work anywhere! Wow, isn’t that neat? Continue Reading »

Hotels Crack Problem Of How Every Guest Likes Their Eggs

Tuesday 20 May 2008 @ 5:36 pm

Fed up of junk mail? Tired of having to go through the same questions every time you check into the same hotel - and being sent hundreds of pieces of marketing that isn’t relevant to you?

There is increasingly less brand loyalty than ever before and it’s increasingly important to treat a customer right the first time or lose them for good.

But a new service – called U4C – is being launched today (Thurs), which will allow any organisation to react quickly and effectively to its customers’ needs.

From the first contact a consumer makes with a company, U4C will ensure that the right data is captured, analysed and stored so that every potential customer is always targeted in an individual way. Continue Reading »

New Reebok NXT Speaker Backpack

Monday 19 May 2008 @ 4:02 pm

There was a time when you hear Reebok, you picture this mental image in your head of shoes like the Pump or some other hot model! Then came the clothes line, complete with jackets, shirts, shorts, pants, socks, and a horde of other cool stuff ‘cause you guys wanted to look good, correct that, great in sweats! Well, Reebok nowadays has already gone beyond the sports apparel series to introduce this new product. Imagine: your bag carrying your laptop, and on top of that, having a built-in stereo sound system for the listening public! Share your tunes with everyone! Be the life of the party! Enjoy!

The new NXT Speaker Backpack only needs a couple of AA batteries, and let the music begin. Enjoy your sounds anywhere, be it in the office, school, the canteen, or the park, but remember to bring a mace if that’s your thang! It’s compatible with a 3.5 mm audio jack. Now, that’s neat!
Initially only coming out in black, it’s stylish enough, although a few other color combinations won’t hurt. New colors are coming out soon. It’s also extremely affordable as a laptop accessory, so you don’t need to steal money form the bank or the cookie jar! Also, don’t expect heavy thumping tunes; if you want that, buy big stereo speakers! We can only do so much, you know!

This sleek bag is definitely a part of your must-have list! Be in! You know you want this!

Review: Deep Blue H1

Wednesday 14 May 2008 @ 8:33 am

It appears the  Asus Eee PC faces more and more challengers these days. Among those after its head is Blue Digital’s Deep Blue H1. Should Asus be afraid? Definitely.

Unlike the Eee PC, this tiny PC boasts a 1.0GHz VIA Esther processor, partnered to a 7-inch 800 x 480 display, along with 1GB of RAM, a 40GB hard drive (very slim), and the LinPus Linux distro as the standard OS. Surprisingly, there’s a variant with Windows XP available as an option. I don’t recommend XP though. It’s soooo slow and takes 3x as long as LinPus to load and accomplish stuff like office work. Review: Breyer State University

Friday 9 May 2008 @ 6:50 am

Most office drones gunning for promotion often realize that higher responsibilities require a certification of competency. The standard testimonial of talent is that classy diploma embossed with a golden ivy league seal. Got a Master’s degree? Great! You can move into that corner office at the penthouse. Otherwise, you’re stuck in the backroom watching hotshots with MBAs traipse past you.

So you decide to take your master’s then.  But wait. It’s not that simple. A master’s degree takes 9 months at the least, costs an arm and a leg, and tends to eat into your working time. What’s a corporate slave like yourself to do then?

Simply. Take an online degree. It’s cheap, enriches your knowledge, and molds around your schedule. Continue Reading »
