Everyone knows how skewed alexa rankings are to favor webmaster/SEO sites. Problem is, most folks still refer to alexa rank as a valuation tool when you try selling ads. Got low rank? Then soreeeee. They’ll pay you a cents and dimes.
You can run a blog focused on worms and bees and enjoy 10,000 unique visitors a day- but if none of your visitors have the alexa toolbar installed- then your alexa rank looks pathetic. So you can’t sell ads.
I’ve found a better measure of traffic in the form of Quantcast. Sign up for a free account, plug in java code into your site and the service starts measuring the real amount of visitors to your site. Helpful stats, such as demographics, unique hits and all that jazz are then displayed on Quantcast’s pages for advertisers to admire.
Finally- you can charge top dollar for all that web traffic you command!
I owned an XBox360 last year but gave it up due to overheating problems. Besides that, games tend to be limited with only one truly taking my breath away: Halo 3.
Gaming Nirvana finally arrived when I recently purchased a PS3. Already, there’s a virtual armada of games like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6, FEAR, and my all time fave Need for Speed. If I’m not blogging or churning out operations analysis at the office, you’re sure to find me hunched over my PS3 with a soda helmet on my noggin and empty packs of doritos on the floor.
I can spend all day gaming. What with the console’s ultra realism (it’s notches better than the Xbox360) and uber connectivity features, who needs a girlfriend?
Some friends are holding back on PS3 purchases just yet due to the steep introductory prices of the games. To these folks in deprivation: do comparative shopping! With sites like these, you can find low prices for these games that can take you to gaming nirvana.
Right now!
Got a dull day? I spent 2 hours this morning gazing at temples perched on air, reading the escapedes of a woman mating with an alien, walking through museums of dead penises and gawking at a building that looked like a piano.
All done without leaving my armchair!
It was easy too, considering that a bunch of physicists journalled these amazing experiences (with pix) at their .edu site:
http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/pickover/pc/realitycarnival.html
How’s that? Physics Profs with a taste for the illogical.
I salute you!
I like Rolex. Also ICW and Panerai.
I have four of these brands- all orig. But sometimes I visit wartorn countrysides and wisely leave the origs at home. I can only imagine someone mugging me in a dark alley and taking my poor watch hostage.
Good thing there are REPLICAS.
ehhrrr… replicas?
Yup. Clones of the real thing.
While I have 4 originals, I own 15 replicas. And every one just as beautiful and sturdy as the originals. These are what I take to ghettos or sleazy places.
Buying a replica can be dangerous. To the pocket and the heart. Countless sites out there scam you: they collect $300 to $800 for a “5 star replica” only to send you a dud. Or they just disappear.
That’s why I wrote this article. I want to save you some grief and direct you to the best possible site that protects you from the scourge of replica scammers:
Visit this forum and you’ll be well armed when buying your next imitation rolex. Guaranteed!
How much would you pay for advice like this?
Provide more value than other blogs and sites. This is by far the most neglected area by all of us! We want to market our sites like crazy, but conveniently forget that we need to offer more to our readers. We want to have 300,000 hits a day but we only want to write five 300 word articles per month. Steve Pavlina said that it should be easy to make a million dollars if only he could figure out how to provide a million dollars worth of value. Sites that have that kind of value don’t have any problem getting the link love.
Add a blog to your site. Blogs are capable of getting a lot more back-link love than regular websites. There are several reasons for this:Blogs are tracked in real-time. Blog search engines publish the most recent blog entries they can find. This means your new entries get linked to instantly.
Blogs are much easier to update than regular websites. You can create a lot more content in the same amount of time. There is no need to design a new page for a new article. You simply write a new article and publish. Your increase in content will increase your visibility and ability to get links.
Blogs get links from other blogs. If you run a regular website that isn’t a blog, you will have a harder time getting links from bloggers. Bloggers mostly read and follow blogs!
If your site is or has a blog, well done. If you have no idea how to setup a blog you should visit the following entry of this site, “5263 Words On Starting A Profitable Blog.“
Post relentlessly. The more you are able to post, the more you will appear in blog search engines like Technorati, Google Blog Search, and Blog Search Engine. Note: People aren’t going to link to posts that are garbage so don’t sacrifice quality for quantity. If your site isn’t a blog, update often and then go back to #2 and add a blog.
Great stuff huh?
I know you’d salivate reading THOUSANDS of pages of great advice. Just like this one.
Get off your butt! You must PRINT every gem of a page from this site:
It’s packed with a veteran’s armchest of Google-slamming, Alexa-raping, Dogpile-scooping weapons. You’ll hit the top spots in no time!

Run from negativity researchers tell us. It’s been said before … but new studies show negativity – as a cortisol trigger. It adds stress and pulls tone in ways that shut down you and the people around you.
Work with people’s brains in a new way in response … Robyn McMaster reminds us. Great leaders … she points out … use problem solving skills to turn negative cultures around. Have you seen it happen?
Wait a minute …. Are you the negative one?
If so … you’ll be glad to see news that negativity is actually a choice and has far less to do with a person’s misfortune than once thought.
When we’re negative we see the worst, lack hope for change, take opposite views in positive conversations, complain more than solve, take few risks to improvements, blame others rather than make a positive difference ourselves.
Sadly, negative people online rarely see their pessimism one expert claimed – but others read it loud and clear in almost every post.
Where do the slumps come from? Interestingly – it often starts with a seemingly innocent rant. Negativity can come from a slumping brain – and thanks to research and new technology we now know how to awaken a slumping brain to positive results.
What can be done to remain animated when others are anxious? If you’ve built patterns for expressing more negatives than solutions that inspire others around you, or if you slow a group down by problems of confusion …. you’ll be happy to see science that helps people reduce anxiety before they join any circle or project. A new study has led to more help for anxious workers.
Some people seem to have a penchant for turning difficulties into monsters – out to get all of us. They often use words such as “confused” … “can’t” … or “overwhelmed.” Others seem to find solutions to the most vexing problems – through keen communication skills to solve problems we all face.
