Great Bargains at GovernmentAuctions.org

Friday 18 December 2009 @ 8:49 pm

Let’s face it. The economy sucks. The US dollar doesn’t command what it used to. Decades ago, the dollar could buy ahome-image2mosuper burger meal with all the garnishings. Today? You’d be lucky if it can get half a burger at all! The smart thing to do, therefore, is to grab things sold at auctions- particularly those by the government. When you purchase at government auctions, you do three great things:

1) You get foreclosed items at nearly 90% off

2) Your channel vital funding for the government

3) You have enough spending cash left over for other things

The problem is… where do you find these government auctions?

Three Great (FREE) Utilities for Windows 7

Tuesday 3 November 2009 @ 8:20 pm

Windows 7 is one dandy OS, but there are some utilities out there that can enhance your operating system. I found stm-runningthree from Gibson Research which don’t cost a Penny.

SECURABLE

SecurAble probes the system’s processor to determine the presence, absence and operational status of three modern processor features:

* 64-bit instruction extensions,
* Hardware support for detecting and preventing
the execution of code in program data areas, … and
* Hardware support for system resource “virtualization.”

You want this utility so you can discern the capacities of your processor. For instance, it tells you whether the PC can support XP mode or a 64-Bit OS. That saves you money from buying the wrong software apps later on. Continue Reading »

KrabCrawler: Protection for Twitter

Thursday 29 October 2009 @ 10:16 pm

You’ll find nasty stuff stuff  on the net, and there’s no better solution than something krabcrawlerequally nasty! Web security company Kaspersky Lab has introduced the “Krab Krawler”, an anti-nasty tool that can make your Twitter-hungry lifestyle a little bit safer.

Cool tool Krab Crawler looks at all posts that appears on Twitter. The posts are parsed for hyperlinks which, if stealthed, are analyzed as to origin. (Yes- even shortened URLs are recognized.) The destination URL is then checked for any nasty things, such as the Koobface virus, that might make your day less tweety. Continue Reading »

The Unexplainable Store- Binaurals and More

Sunday 27 September 2009 @ 8:17 pm

Do you love all things weird, crazy and zany- particularly those with the paranormal slant? I can feel your passion. meditation_iconThat was my hobby since 1985! (woops, betrayed my age)

If chanting all day till you astral project is your cup of tea, the Unexplainable Store might be the next destination for you. This is one queer site that offers soundstreams that do everything from project your soul to summon green goblins. Now only if they had a Green Lantern power ring to go with that side order of doomsday talisman. Perhaps I should email tech support at Unexplainable Store for a prototype? What do you think?

Legit Online Jobs

Sunday 20 September 2009 @ 7:44 pm

Broke again? If that checkbook looks forlorn and the rent’s due again, you need to do something better than what you’re doing now. Something more maverick. Something… mind blowing.makemoney cash

Are you ready for an online system that makes cash so quick, that you’ll get paid the very next day? I don’t refer to envelope stuffing. Or gaming adsense. You don’t need to fill out medical transcription forms. Or promoting triple X crap. No siree. What I’m referring to is a method of advertising for other companies using just minutes a day and you get paid big time! (and no, it isn’t adwords arbitrage either)

I’ve recently tried this advertising method (easy to sign up, even easier to get paid), and loved the outcome. Two days later, my account showed $212. Not bad for less than an hours work, wouldn’t you agree.

The method takes three steps: Continue Reading »

Talk All You Want- Free with Talkster

Tuesday 8 September 2009 @ 6:38 pm
Sure, you can voice-chat around the world through Skype and other services. But Talkster lets you reach out and touch an actual telephone in addition to online calling options.
Free long-distance and international calls are worth putting up with a couple drawbacks. The service requires you to perform a convoluted dialing procedure: It gives you a special local number to reach a faraway friend, and your pal gets a local number too. You dial your local number, after which you have 10 seconds to tell your buddy to call back on their local number. You stay on the line and wait while they hang up and dial back.
You might hear an ad while waiting to connect again, but the two of you can talk as long as you want after the hook-up is complete. I thought calls sounded good, although one call recipient questioned the quality.

Okidoki, no prob. You can chat real time wherever  the world through Yahoo Messenger and other Skype. But these171435-talkster_180don’t do what Talkster does: It  lets you reach out and touch an actual telephone in addition to online calling options. Now that is a blessing isn’t it?

With Free long-distance and international calls provided by Talkster, there are a few hitches. The service requires you to perform a patience trying dialing procedure: The service sends you a special local number to reach a faraway friend, and your counterpart gets a local number too. You dial your local number, after which you have 10 seconds to tell your buddy to call back on their local number. You stay on the line and wait while they hang up and dial back. Dang. I got lost there!

Oh, there’s inhouse entertainment by the way. You get to hear free ads while waiting to connect again, all they lack now is someone to take your order.

“French fries with your call, sir?”

Oh well. That’s Talkster for you.

How To Blog With Ease on Iphone

Thursday 20 August 2009 @ 6:50 pm

Are you into audio blogging? You’ve got a treat. Ipadio’s new iPhone app, in the App Store now, gives users the choice between recording stellar audio for publication later or streaming their message  real time to the web – using www.ipadio.com or via their own web site.

Now, iPhone users can opt to live stream audio to  their web site or pre-record up to an hour of audio and upload it later. Callers also choose to run SpinVox voice to text conversion to produce title, tags and a transcript, as well as most stuff  you’d expect including sending photos from the phone, GPSing the call and rapidly integrating with social media (Myspace, Twitter, Facebook) and popular blogging platforms.  Imagine reaching out to listeners who can subscribe to each “channel” as a podcast in iTunes, within an ipadio account, via RSS or even old fashioned email. IPod Touch users can of course record and publish via ipadio.

On uploading a call, users have the option to leave their title, tags and description to SpinVox, or to type these manually. In practice, most callers are running a quick test and then leaving things to SpinVox, as the results are great. If the odd word is missed, it’s easy to edit the text either in the iPhone app or through an account on ipadio.com.

In my opinion, this is a boon for service oriented companies who want to give things the personal touch. People can know the latest with the company (like promos and discounts) as well as pick up on tips and tricks for after market service. Continue Reading »

Last Month I Made $12,523 with WorldWideBrands

Tuesday 28 July 2009 @ 9:20 pm

So you need a product or line of products to sell online… well you can search the web and try to find wholesale product suppliers. Before you know it you have run across hundreds of listings for suppliers. Further research reveals that some are legitimate, some you later find out are not true wholesalers but “middle men” saying they are wholesalers and other you find are simply scams.
Then you start coming across people recommending the Word Wide Brands paid wholesale supplier database. Worldwide Brands claims to offer a complete product sourcing tool that is aimed at helping people find reliable sources for goods all over the world… but you wonder if it’s worth purchasing. That what we are going to determine in this review.
What I like
World Wide Brands is the oldest and largest premium product sourcing service. It has the most suppliers in it’s database and is adding new suppliers daily. They have a full staff whose only job is to find and review suppliers. World Wide Brands goes beyond being your regular wholesale and drop shipping directory… they assure you of the legitimacy of all the suppliers by checking that they sell quality goods and that they are true wholesalers not “middle men”.
Another feature is that they classify each supplier as:
Dropship Wholesalers
Light Bulk Wholesalers
Instant Import Buys
Liquidation Wholesalers
Large Volume Wholesalers
Another feature I love is the built in market research utility. It tells you whether Learn whether the products you’re searching have a good chance of selling online before you buy them.
Also if you choose the the Whole sale eBiz Education component provide training via webinars and videos to guide you through the process of selecting the right products from the right supplier(s), market research, setting up your e-commerce store if you are selling via an online store, or advice on selling your products on eBay.
WorldWide Brands is considered by most as the “Cadillac” of wholesale and drop shipping product sourcing tools available in the market… but the best feature I think is word wide brands search functionality…

Can World Wide Brands Make You a Millionaire Next Month?

Okay. You’re a lazy bum, but you want to get rich. That’s a problem. You know you’d  require a product or line of products to sell online to make your buck… so the usual thing to do is  to  search the web and try to find wholesale product suppliers.  It can be a doozy and a test of patience! Why? You’ll  have run across thousands  of listings for suppliers. Some are legitimate, but you’ll also discover that 80%   are not true wholesalers but “middle men” saying they are wholesalers. The rest are  simply scams. (scumbags!)

That was the situation up till early 2000… then  World Wide Brands came along.  For many, its a legend in the industry of wholesale sourcing.  Like GlobalSources and a host of other wholesale databasing services, Worldwide Brands claims to offer a complete product sourcing tool that is aimed at helping people find reliable sources for goods all over the world…  for a price, of course. They charge you $299 to access their database of suppliers and a host of tools to setup an online business where you simply promote millions of products and get a cut. No inventory required. The only task you do is promote your site, blog or forum and wait for cheques to come in.

But you ponder  if it’s worth purchasing. That what you’ll discover in this review.

Itunes V Playlist: Guess Who Wins?

Friday 24 July 2009 @ 8:41 am

I can’t work at the PC in dead silence. I’d rather have music or white noise.  Are you just like that? Worktime requiresplaylistcomthat I either have my Mp3 player plugged in or Itunes running in the background.

Itunes is cool. It’s one of the best apps of the decade. There’s only one catch- you gotta pay for your tunes. Arrrghh. So eventually I turned to Limewire for my ambient sound fix. Thing is, it’s hard to find virus-free music or software on that sharing giant. Plus, it takes forever to download.

But my problem got solved when some geniuses came out to launch Playlist.com. Think of Playlist as your personal web radio where you can request anything you want, and the DJ plays it for you. And FREE! Continue Reading »

Wednesday 24 June 2009 @ 5:46 pm

Everyone loves free stuff. I know I do. That’s why I get my tan at the beach and not the salon. The sun’s free and it works.

Now just imagine if one of the web’s largest free system starts charging. Rumor has it that twitter plans to start raking it in from it’s massive userbase. How? By getting folks to start verifying their accounts- especially the business denizens. From there it’s an easy matter to collect a $1 fee.
