I love my Playstation 3 and my Xbox 360. Especially my Xbox 360. The problem is- the latter doesn’t love me so much.
Every so often it conks out. A trip to the local repair center becomes mandatory as does forking over quite a thick wad of cash.
“$50 sir. We fixed your whazoozit”
“HUH?” And it turns out they just replaced an itty bitty whazoozit that looked like $00.05
Oh well. That’s the ropes of having to play Halo.
If you’re one of the Xbox Addicts who’ve run into the common “Red Ring Of Death” or the sudden blackout, you’d want to learn how to repair your Xbox. With the Xbox Repair Guide, everything you need to know about tweaking whazoozits and whatsitsnames are explained. You can resume playing after whipping out your screwdriver. Continue Reading »
The Coolest Xbox 360 Repair Guide
With more and more netbooks popping out, external hard disks are becoming popular. Plug in a 300 gb hard disk and voila! Your 20GB eeePC suddenly has the power of its larger cousins.
But there’s a problem. External hard drives while handy and useful, suffer from some problems:
A generation of music fans brought up on a diet of personal listening via their MP3 players are losing touch with the joys of shared music due to the growing availability of cheap tinny speakers with in-built iPod docks. Manufacturers are jumping on the bandwagon and developing low-cost, low fidelity iPod accessories in a market estimated to be worth US$1.8 billion annually . Continue Reading »

The problem with many corner offices these days is that they’re all glass. That means a lot of sunlight. That’s good of
course for your bones and a nice neck tan. But when you present a killer powerpoint, the projector simply can’t beat out all that solar energy.
So you have two options. Buy great shade (which is not always nice looking)…. or obtain a muscular projector that throws out enough light to dissolve a vampire.
I recommend Projectiondesign’s F80 projector- it is the first 3-chip DLP projector that boasts the following :-
* 15,000:1 contrast ratio
* 8,500 lumens brightness
* Advanced Color Processing technology
* Full HD resolution
* WUXGA and SXGA+ Continue Reading »
Impress the Boss With Projectiondesign F80 Projector
It seems that we never run out of accessories for our video ipods. First it was Ganzklar. Then Chinese imitation goggles. Now Vuzix Corporation is hot on their heels with a ground-breaking addition to the video eyewear
market: the Wrap 920AV. As the demand for realtime access to digital entertainment and online data explodes, Vuzix has once again taken the lead. Here’s a lightweight “movie screen” solution with Vuzix’ proprietary Quantum optics technology that affords a “see-thru” viewing experience in the formfactor of a snazzy pair of sunglasses modifiable with many accessories.
The ubercool Wrap 920AV works with any media playing device using a video output and projects a virtual 60-inch screen, as viewed from 9-feet. It’s like being in theatre! The lens technology empowers users to relish 3D video content while seeing and interacting with their surroundings. This amazing mix of reality and computer generated content will morph the world of portable video while opening up the consumer to “location aware” applications. Think Minority Report, or something like that. Oh, and there’s an optional 6-Degree of Freedom tracking sensor and/or Stereo Camera Pair will enable users to upgrade their Wrap 920AV to experience virtual, enhanced and mixed reality scenarios. Video Eyewear with Cool “See-Thru” Quantum Optics
At the Consumer Electronics Show, Smartfish Technologies bragged of this good-looking Pro-Motion ergonomic keyboard.
Spokespersons claimed that the Pro-Motion keyboard learns from typing style and readily adapt its height, angle and radial position to best fit the typist’s preferences. This I have yet to see over a month, although, I must say that it’s sexy curves and fine aluminum finish drew my eye. No A4tech or Genius keyboard ever looked this good. Oh- and it works on PC & Mac. Drivers are unnecessary for this beauty. It’s true plug and play all the way.
I thought I was the coolest thing two years back when I purchased this portable DVD player. Anytime I was stuck in
gridlock or waiting for my girlfriend to finish shopping at Louis Vuitton, I’d whip out the unit from my man-bag and watch the latest slasher films. Now those bulky units are passe. Everything from the Sony PSP to the ITouch can play movies in what ever format. And now comes the Samsung which unveiled its new flagship portable media player, the P3.
P3 is an upgrade of the P2. Like the previous model, the P3 features a 3” WQVGA TFT display (480×272),
FM radio, Bluetooth, and an 8 GB version. The new P3 gets the updated DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology, an upgraded EmoTure™ touch interface with true haptic feedback, voice recording, 16 GB & 32 GB versions and a music easy access key called the “Music Hot Touch Key” . Continue Reading »

The average phone enthusiast knows that the Google Android OS is intended for mobile
phones such as T-Mobile’s G1. But did you know that two fellas at VentureBeat easily reconfigured the system to power an eeePC 1000H. And there’s more! The juiced in the support required for its appendages such as sound, graphics and Wi-Fi connectivity. This is definitely exciting news and provides a CHEAP alternative to Windows XP systems running some netbooks today. I can imagine a clear future for cheap sub $200 notebooks that will REALLY allow computing even for the poorest of the poor.
Well done Venturebeat! You made our day!

Got relatives abroad? I do. Many of my kin live in Singapore. Giving them a ring sure bites my budget! I was
glad, therefore when Global mobile network operator Truphone today added Truphone Anywhere functionality to its iPhone™ application. It’s one cool app that enables users to enjoy international calls across the internet for as little as £0.03/$0.06 [UK/Rest of World] per minute even when without wifi. Inbound Truphone calling on the iPhone is also provided for the first time, making it possible to enjoy completely free Truphone calls between two iPhones. Now that’s bringing IT to the masses!
Truphone Anywhere operates in 33 countries around the world, saving iPhone users from those nations money on pricy international calls made from their home country when not in Wi-Fi. The easy-to-use service works alongside domestic service providers, but reduces international call costs to as little as £0.03/$0.06 [UK/RoW] per minute.
Contrast those with, say, calling card solutions, Truphone Anywhere doesn’t require a user to remember circuitous steps. Whenever an international number is dialled from outside Wi-Fi, Truphone Anywhere simply asks whether he/she wants to make a Truphone call. The user merely accepts, and Truphone connects the call. Then it’s chat all night! Continue Reading »

Can’t Get a Vertu? Buy Mobiado
I’m close to 40 but that never diminished my naughtiness. 30 years ago, my teacher said I’d be the death of
her one day. That’d be true today if I went back to school armed with this R/C Black Widows Spider. It’s one authentic prank!
The London Museum of Natural History didn’t have pranksters in mind when they created an authentic replica of the Black Widow Spider. The gadget is about a foot large, it creeps in a creepy manner, spins around on itself and generally acts very spiderlike. That is, within 30 feet of the controller. Imagine having this cutie sneak up on a slumbering lout of an employee? That’d be priceless!
Of course if he suffers heart attack, his lawyers may confiscate your baby spider. Be careful with it!
You can buy the £17.99 R/C Black Widow Spider at this fine store.
My best friend is an Apple engineer and he tells me that Jobs is griping. Nevermind that his Macbook Pros are selling like hotcakes; the man has problems with the Ipod Shuffle sales. No one wants a shuffle. Not even if it’s given for free. And what’s there to like about this piece of crap anyway? – it doesn’t come with any display, has a puny capacity and does not do video playback. It has only one good market. Gym folks who play a preset list of tracks for the treadmill love it. But beyond that? Nada.
I do wonder why the stylish folks at Apple do not take the recommendation of designer Isamu Sanada when he proposed the iPod Shuffle Bracelet concept. Let it stream music to a bluetooth headset and you’ve got a killer app! What fashionista can resist such a beauty?
Uzix, the boys creating personal video iWear, released two new products in Europe affording ground-breaking technology advances.
Donned like a pair of goggles, the new AV310 is the pioneering video headset of its kind to feature the full 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio; while the AV230XL blows old technologies by using OLED (organic LED) screen technology for an vibrantly bright, high contrast display that drinks less power.
The launch of the two headsets increases the complement of Vuzix range to four models. The AV920 is the top of the line video headset, and there’s VR920 is a virtual reality goggle aimed at the gaming market which adds motion tracking and 3D capability to 80 PC titles and online games such as World of Empire Earth, Second Life and Earth Siege.
The new products are developed to complement an array of devices with TV Out capability such as theApple iPod range, MP4 players, games consoles such as Wii, and many of the latest cellphones from Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung and HTC. Continue Reading »
