The French always liked big things. Look at the Eiffel Tower. Now that’s big. Now it wouldn’t so surprising that France would then release one of the largest internet tablets around. It’s the Archos 101.
But while Archos goes big and heavy, it maintains its prices light and easy. After all, it’s the only way to compete against the likes of Ipad and Samsung. Why pay top dollar from a relatively new player when the Ipad offers a lower price, right?

Yesterday, on a whim I picked up the Archos 101. On first review, I find it is sleek and slim and comes in tad black matte finish. More PVC parts than metallic parts grace this baby all over. all over. There are less metallic parts and more hard plastic polymers for the body, making it lighter and easier to handle. It’s ideally constructed, allowing me to deftly flip it over while watching movies and surfing the web. It’s far lighter than the ipad!

One of the important characteristics for me is the screen. Most android tablets use the resistive screen which relies on pressure. That makes navigation a chore! Pressing down hard WAS mandatory to get any response. But thank God. This new offering now boasts a capacitative screen which allows the device to react more rapidly. No longer did I have to wait before an icon actually activated. Yes!

There is a problem, though. The screen is still TFT, meaning its next to useless under bright sunlight.

Let’s dive into the internals.

The Archos 101 is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU boasting the latest Android 2.2 Froyo. Like entry level Ipads, it’s got a 16GB internal memory which you can expand via the microSD slot on the side. The clerk told me it can accommodate cards up to 32GB. Now that’s a lot of movies this baby can handle!
I watched 300 and Underworld in HD. The playback was superb and enough screen elements were displayed. I give this an A+ for entertainment. Audio is subpar though. I felt like I was hearing sounds from the bottom of a trashcan by using the built in speakers. Best to use a headset.

The Archos 101 throws in more ports than an Asian throws arrows in a Chinese movie. There’s HDMI, USB and micro USB. That definitely allows meto hook the Archos 101 to almost any USB-capable device.

Many of the apps I downloaded from the app store work on this baby. The system is beefy enough, and the processor fast enough to handle perhaps 90% of the apps out there. I can’t say the same for the trashy chinese units like HappyMe which I tried in the past. Scrolling, launching, closing- all rapid. Not as smooth as that on an ipad, but definitely sufficient enough to get work done.

Would I recommend the Archos 101 after this review? You bet. It’s cheap and works better than 70% of the android tablets I’ve handled. It’s no Ipad, but it holds its own against the second best tablet out there: the Samsung Galaxy Tab

What is Chronic Commissions?

Chronic Commissions is piece of web based software that creates email list on autopilot and pushes (insistently) a crapload of products to your email list to make piles of cash. Simply provide your auto responder and clickbank account information and that’s it. Chronic Commissions offers as a bonus some pre-loaded email campaigns that will be machine gunned to your subscribers to make sales on daily basis.

How does Chronic Commissions Work?

It all has to do with your autoresponder. By plugging in your autoresoponder into the system you will gain access to thousands millions of email subscribers. Those people/companies will send emails for you to their huge email list and their subscribers will become yours. It’s a vampiric parasitic thing. Chronic Commissions leaches on the work of others.

This is the exciting part. Upon reaching critical mass on your list chronic commissions will stat sending emails to your subscribers about different products in a proven way to generate huge amount of sales. That’s the theory of course. To date, I’ve made only some $210 from the campaigns run by Chronic Commissions (it’s been a week now).

Will Chronic Commissions Work For You?

If email list building is your game and making money off that list gets you off, you may want to take a peek into Chronic Commissions. The product rests it claims on the fact that email is the biggest traffic source on the internet this is where people make megabucks online. That may be true, but the implementation of Chronic Commissions is far from perfect. As I said, the system made only $200 in a span of two weeks. That’s poor performance if you ask me.

Inside Look at the Members Area

Remember, this is all web based. You don’t install anything to the desktop. Your campaigns are run from within the website of Chronic Commissions. So if their website fails, so do you.

This setup is is friendly. There’s a video for every section, rapid to comprehend but a tad weak on the sounds. Make sure you use an amplified headset!

To begin with Chronic Commissions, it does not require the user to have a domain or hosting. I repeat, the software is WEB BASED.

Starting a campaign is straightforward. Simply enter in a few pieces of information.
- Clickbank ID – for your affiliate links
- Paypal ID – if you decide to get paid per lead
- Aweber Optin Code – read below

Don’t worry about security breaches providing these information bits. The reason for the paypal ID/Aweber Optin is this- you have a choice- the creators will pay you per lead if you like OR you can use your own Aweber code to collect leads. Those into CPA may prefer the lead angle of Chronic Commissions.

Once you fill out preparatory maneuvers.. you’re ready to begin your money making initiatives (that first step took me 5 mins max)

So let’s fire up the campaigns. The software offers 5 highly converting IM offers where you simply type in your own “Tracking ID” and decide if you want it go to the squeeze page or sales letter. After selection, Chronic Commissions takes you to a page that shows your affiliate ID with tracking built in. You got it cloaked and ready to go for you.

You’re displayed email swipes as well at that point. From here you’ll be presented with your very own squeeze page that takes email respondents who click on your email links. Looks like a convincing one too – as I certainly approve of it. Then, it caps it off with an exit splash in which it takes you directly to the sales offer. Now the sales offer one does just that- takes you to the sales offer. With your embeded your clickbank affiliate ID into it you get credit.

Finally, there’s a straightforward nice tracking interface, showing your campaign, your raw clicks, unique clicks, optins and description. Also it displays your traffic stats as well in a easy to view summary of each offer. I also found some “bonuses” on the login screen- I feel to prevent me from asking a refund.

And the last is a bonus Personalized coaching- no idea what that is yet – as it’s not till 10 days from now!

Now there are costly upsells as well. These include 36 MORE campaigns and an 8 week coaching session with the creators.

I don’t recommend those however. If you do invest, the initial campaigns are already enough in Chronic Commissions.

My Conclusions for Chronic Commissions

The principle and primary tenets of Chronic Commissions are definitely sound. Email list building, squeeze pages, and periodic sales bombardment. But somewhere along the line, something screws up because I definitely am not making the cash advertised. They promised some $1000 or so… but I’m still in the sub hundreds. I’m no sure if you can fare any better with Chronic Commissions.

It’s a long shot.

My buddies often suggested checking out those virtual offices to add a certain level of professionalism. These are the services that give you a mailbox, address, and even secretary to field call. I resisted at first. How professional can I get with hundreds of other enterprises registered at the same address, right? It didn’t make sense.

Yesterday, however, I felt thoroughly embarrassed when a caller at one of my “residential offices” asked, don’t you have a proper business location? I practically crawled into my shell. Sure, I made over $20,000 a month from my combined businesses and that should have given me some confidence. But to get a comment like that got me thinking. Perhaps I should bite the bullet and rent some commercial grade space. Or perhaps take the services of some of those virtual offices like Regus.
