• New selector to create areas of Aero-style “glass” in XUL
• Support for CSS 2.1 properties: ::before and ::after, and white-space:pre-line

Boss Picked on You? Vent It with The Nail Drive

Wednesday 30 July 2008 @ 8:05 pm

You submitted a great report and that fat slob of a boss still castigated you before your peers. Don’t quit! Just cool off by slamming that huge nail into your laptop. (don’t worry, it won’t go bust).

You see, the Nail Flash Drive built by Plankton  is built to look like a big fat nail that you can hammer in your USB por. It  is made from polyurethane and metal alloy; it retracts when hit, driving the 90 x 34mm  inwards. And on the serious note, it can store 1Gb of data inside it.  (I  recommend you just pop it in rather then slam it in with a sledge, though).

Now only if they make a nail for the boss’ head.

Review: Deep Blue H1

Wednesday 14 May 2008 @ 8:33 am

It appears the  Asus Eee PC faces more and more challengers these days. Among those after its head is Blue Digital’s Deep Blue H1. Should Asus be afraid? Definitely.

Unlike the Eee PC, this tiny PC boasts a 1.0GHz VIA Esther processor, partnered to a 7-inch 800 x 480 display, along with 1GB of RAM, a 40GB hard drive (very slim), and the LinPus Linux distro as the standard OS. Surprisingly, there’s a variant with Windows XP available as an option. I don’t recommend XP though. It’s soooo slow and takes 3x as long as LinPus to load and accomplish stuff like office work. Download: AVG 8.0 and Knock Viruses Dead

Friday 25 April 2008 @ 10:16 pm

Grisoft launched a new version of AVG Antivirus Free on April 24, that shipped with several features besides the ones already included in the application

The shiny AVG Free 8.0 is compatible with many Windows flavors, including here Windows 2000, Windows XP/x64 Edition and Windows Vista/x64 Edition. Additionally, the application comes in a large group of languages encompassing English, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Serbian and Spanish. You’ll love the primary functions of the application, as published by Grisoft on the official page of the newly-released program: – Anti-Virus: protection against viruses, worms and trojans – Anti-Spyware: protection against spyware, adware and identity-theft – Anti-Rootkit: protection against hidden threats (rootkits) – Web Shield & LinkScanner: protection against malicious websites With the release of AVG Free 8.0, we are underscoring our belief that all computer users, regardless of their computer usage needs, have the right to a safe and worry-free computing experience,” says Karel Obluk, chief technology officer at AVG Technologies. “However, it is important for users to remember that AVG Free does not protect against the full range of today’s web-borne threats. Review: Asus Eee PC- Perfect Scratch Pad

Sunday 20 April 2008 @ 8:12 pm

I’m the notepad type of guy. My travels take me to places where I like to jot down notes, scribble drawings and generally save my thoughts on paper. The problem is, notepads get ratty quite quickly. So I started taking notes on my Sony Ericsson P1i. But dang, that keyboard takes forever to input data! Then I tried my laptop. But it’s too big and unwieldy. Plus the Compaq dies after 1 hour use (it’s a core2duo at 2Ghz) Continue Reading »

Review: BlackHat Forums For The DarkSide Lovers

Wednesday 9 April 2008 @ 11:26 am

I must admit. Sometimes I’m lured by the Darkside of the Code… you know, where with a handful of bits and bytes, you can circumvent security systems, pull a few remote pranks… and maybe make a buck or two. In other words, blackhat seduces me.

If someone looks into my search history, he’d discover that I’ve been to quite a number of blackhat sites, forums and blogs. Most particularly, at BlackHatWorld. This place satisfies my fix for everything blackhat including search engine gaming, software cracking and social engineering. (Hey, I don’t do bad stuff, I just like to read about them. And get protected in the process). What makes this place special is that it’s got hundreds of members so there’s no way a dominant voice can scam you with tomfoolery. Continue Reading »

Wordpress 2.5 Image Failure

Sunday 6 April 2008 @ 3:15 am

I just upgraded to the latest but not greatest wordpress 2.5- and now lost image upload functionality. Changing permissions of folders nor tweaking htaccess doesn’t mitigate the problem. I searched the web. Woah. Turns out virtually everyone else suffers the same image upload problem with Wordpress 2.5. Im disappointed that the eager beavers at WP rushed out a buggy program.

There appears to be a minor workaround that restores functionality for some webmasters though:

Lotsa Lotsa Links Via Tnx.net

Monday 25 February 2008 @ 8:31 pm

A webmaster can never have enough backlinks. The more you have, the higher your placement in search engine results. That translates into increased visitor traffic, eyeballs and off course- sales. So you want links.  Lots of links. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

Last year, I stumbled on a thread in Digitalpoint forums where another text link ads advertising system expanded at the rate of a page a day. Called tnx.net,  the system assists site publishers in buying hundreds of unique text links from other websites within a day. The cost rice is amazingly low. Webmasters  may buy one text link to your domain for as low as one point. Tnx.net currently offers 100,000 points for $100. So, a hundred bucks you can get 100,000 inbound links pointing to your website. Whew, where can you get a deal like that? Continue Reading »

Dear Mom, Help – I Bought 472 Ebooks And I Can’t Get Up

Tuesday 19 February 2008 @ 7:31 pm

I don’t know about you? But to me, trying to write 50-100 pages on one particular subject. Is like.. Yeahhhh… Right!!! I personally have a hard enough time writing a letter to my own Mother. Let alone 50-100 pages on one particular subject.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love my Mom to death. I just can’t figure out why every time we talk on the phone the conversation ends with… “Son, when you get some time… how bout’ writing me a letter”. Now I ‘ll be the first to admit, that when it comes to writing letters I am the worlds worst.

Maybe professional writers have no problem cranking out page after page of quality content to fill their e-books. But, as you can probably already tell, professional writer extraordinaire I am not. Continue Reading »

An Inside Review Of Wealthy Affiliates University – A Community Of Internet And Affiliate Marketers

Monday 18 February 2008 @ 10:41 pm

Do you desire financial freedom? Perhaps, like myself you do not wish to commute, cater to your company schedule and follow orders.

The most direct path to accomplish this major change in your life is to begin working online in the privacy of your home office. I do not have an office, I work out of a small breakfast nook in my little house.

In my pajamas, until noon, when I “feel like working”.

Actually, I love marketing and often spend my entire day in my nook learning, visiting with my peers and friends, having a grand time.

Life is good, life can be great with a strong desire, a moderate amount of persistence and an internet connection. Continue Reading »

Hacked Gadgets To The Max

Wednesday 13 February 2008 @ 8:48 am

neurosky_mind_control.jpg

There’s a mad scientist in each of us. Remember how we were as kids? How we loved to take things apart, see how they ticked, then put them back together? Well, we didn’t always slap them back into shape as originally designed- what we did was to mod them. Et voila: a frankenBarbie or a Tank with helicopter blades.

Ah…. those were the days.  Now we’re all grown up and tastes have gone more sophisticated. We no longer hack toys apart. We hack gadgets and put them back into far more useful incarnations! If you’re one of the crowd, then check out this site full of crazy hacks! Continue Reading »

Monday 4 February 2008 @ 7:55 pm

With web 2.0 , social news sites have become marketing tools to traffic-loving bloggers.  Digg ranks among the most loved social news site because of its awesome power to surge traffic  when a post gets dugg by the hundreds. You obviously want to get dugg but , will you pay to get dugg? If yes, here are two companies that offer such service – UserSubmitter and SubvertandProfit.

The system works both ways. Users of digg can sign up and receive $0.50 for every story they Digg. Submitters will then pay $20 for every story plus $1 Digg desired.

Turning Your Blogpost into Passive Revenue

Sunday 23 December 2007 @ 5:49 pm

While this blog is monetized almost solely by Adsense, I oversee a small army of blog networks that generate tremendous amount of income. The average blog takes in $2000+ a month!

How’s this possible?

Not through text link ads- that could get you banned on google. No siree! Rather, these other blogs are monetized by reviewing high margin affiliate products managed by Clickbank and to a certain extent, Commission Junction.

It’s easy to generate the same if you’re already a high traffic blog. Convert visitors into cash simply by writing a review (positive or negative) of products Clickbank carries. Then embed an affiliate link their products (you’ll have to sign up). Then presto! When somebody likes your post and follows the link, you can earn up to 50% of the product price. How’s that sound?

Clickbank’s products often cost up to $149 so a single transaction nets you easly enough for an expensive movie-date.

I’d recommend Clickbank over Commission Junction any day since the latter offers up to 20% commissions only, but feel free to try out both.

Anyone here a Clickbank millionaire yet?

How to Make More Money with Adsense Finder

Sunday 16 December 2007 @ 8:59 am

Did you love Adwords Analyzer? I loved it to bits, despite it’s sub hundred dollar price. My adword campaigns simply skyrocketed with the software!

Now for those too cheap to buy that software, check out the Adsense Finder. The AdSense Finder is yet another Adwords application designed to garner you get more pay-per-click (PPC) traffic for your website with diminished PPC cost and explode your return on investment (ROI) from all your Google AdWords advertising campaigns.

Recently, Google introduced a new system called “site placement targeting” allowing AdWords advertisers to place their ads only on the sites they like to promote. The good thing about site placement targeting is you can capture highly targeted audience with minimal competition. However, digging a list of relevant and large traffic sites to market on can be time-consuming. AdSense Finder rose to solve this problem.

This software has a potent mission: to automatically seek out quality sites that run Adsense, on the exact topics that you want. It then roots the traffic details of these sites and offers you a list that you enter into your campaign so can start advertising on them for a fraction of what the search network costs. Darned easy if you ask me!

The AdSense Finder is free to download and use. The download link to this software is here. Enjoy maximum returns on your marketing budget today!

Search Engine Jokers or Experts

Friday 30 November 2007 @ 7:25 pm

I subscribed to multiple SEO, internet marketing and online business tips sites. Think shoemoney.com and johnchow.com. It’s because of these guys that this site makes a nifty package of money.

Now this morning, I got tired reading the same serious articles and browsed for alternatives. I landed on PageRank0. After reading through a few pages, I can’t still tell whether they were serious or what. I guarantee this, though: it’s one hilarious site.

Check out this entry on one of their pages: Continue Reading »
