Imagine a PC that never needs security updates… or patches… or AV suites. Imagine a PC that’s totally immune to hackers, crackers and shmuckers. Now stop imagining and feast your eyes on the Cherry Pal.
The CherryPal is a new Cloud Computer which the founder, Max Seybold, is launching to kick the crap out for the Eee PC from Asus. The CherryPal eats a meagre 2 watts of power by deploying simplified cloud computing, it would require zero security updates since all files and applications are run off a server usually in a datacentre. For the average user, Cloud Computers simplifies life as everything is managed remotely for you. However, if you like diving deep into the innards of OS plumbing and system configs, then Cloud Computing is a turn off.
The CherryPal could be mistaken for a paperback book and is one lean machine. It has 75% fewer components then the plain jane desktop. The device has zero moving parts, allowing thus stealth bomber to operate like a F-117 for almost 15 years. And what’s even better, startup takes 15 seconds and you can access all data anywhere in the world- provided there’s internet. Compare this with Vista. Is there a comparison?
The following are for the geekheads only:
