I like my PCs fast. Really fast. The problem is, Windows is an inherently slow system. It loads device drivers you don’t need. It has a crappy file system that leaves fragments. It runs services that conflict and add to boot time. Why- I remember that a brand new install of Vista normally takes 1.5 minutes to load- and all it has is MS Office, Adobe and Corel Draw installed!
It’s for this reason that I love using system optimizers. I’ve spent a lot on various offerings from download.com but have fallen in love with just one: Ashampoo WinOptimizer. It’s one baby that did everything for me!
Ashampoo Winoptimzer is literally a swiss army knife of optimization tools. All the modules for speeding up are there for one low price. Other software I purchased require additional payment for more functionality. I want a defragger? Shell out $30. I want a shell tweaker? Oops… another $60. Arrrghhh.. I got tired of spending so much for what I should have gotten at the initial buy.
But Ashampoo Winoptimizer is different. The single price got me defragging, disk cleaning, windows settings tweaking, startup optimization. The works. It’s got more customizable settings than a centipede has legs. The interface is pretty. And its so userfriendly, a manual would only complicate things.
My Vista no longer boots at 1.5 minutes but at 30 seconds.
I really recommend this software. It’s something else!
Download the trial. It’s $45 if you like it

This product is a pretty good product with a word of caution. It finds a lot of stuff that’s important and then prompts for deletion. A complete newbie could really screw up their system deleting stuff like that. For instance, I was asked to delete some registry entries that obviously linked to my network drivers. Yeah — no thanks. Then I tried Jv16 Powertools (macecraft.com), ran the cleaner utilities, and I’m impressed with the results. There was nothing to fear.
this product and others claim to do all this stuff, but you know what? Jv16 Powertools (macecraft.com) is the only one I’ve found that actually does it. Highly recommended.
