Review: Shred Identity Theft With Ziszor

zsizor1.JPGI got this nasty habit. I leave my credit card statements on the couch. My restaurant bills stay on the table. And my utility payments vacation in the mall’s trashbin.

Know what’s bad? Each document leaves veritable keys to the vault of my identity. Restaurant slips have my credit card numbers. Card statements bear my name and address. And utility statements tend to carry my phone numbers. Any cackling miscreant can piece all that together, and create a new me…. a me who will swipe virtual cards and amass debts to the thousands.

And who’s gonna end up paying for all that? Why… me of course. But some other cretin enjoys the fruits of my payments.

Definitely not good. Now there’s an iron clad solution to identity theft: Ziszor

I came across a virtual 500,000 Volt stungun in the war against identity theft. Dubbed “Zisor“, it’s a portable document shredder that’s so light, any briefcase shouldn’t be without one. The device takes on 4 AA batteries and could rip apart four sheets of paper in one blow. Now there’s no reason for me to leave my bills on the bistro table. That shifty eyed waiter may be waiting to snatch it up and snag my credit card details!

I gave it a test run on assorted documents lying around the house and my car. Boy, this toy shreds like an obese man on a diet. It goes through paper as fast as industrial grade cutters next to my workstation.  Those blades really know how to chomp that I was tempted to obliterate old ATM cards and credit cards… but that may foul up the system. I’ll leave the magnets for that.

I took the Ziszor out in my LV monogram Bosphore just to see how comfy it would be to lug around. Why… at less than a pound it felt barely there. I didn’t feel strained carrying it half a day at the mall. This definitely makes a good accessory for any dude with a paranoia streak. Or a sense of sensible caution.

Credo: want your details safe from grasping fingers? Buy one of these. The Ziszor affords you portable protection on the fly. Like your cellphone, it’s non intrusive, but can be a darned lifesaver

I’ve been looking for such a device, what with all the papers I have. Can I buy it at barnesandnoble?
