Psychologists will tell you that tall men get it all. Faster raises, better pay, hotter girlfriends. Society places
a premium on tall individuals, and all things being equal, the taller man gets the fairer shake of the stick. It’s because of this proven fact that numerous schemes have arisen to aid the vertically challenged individual.
Remember back in 1990, stretching exercises were all the vogue. They promised to elongate the human body and make men taller. Then there were the human growth hormone pills and injections. At best these tools rendered little to no effect. Hence marketers seeking to cash in on the desire to get short men taller resorted to new innovations on an old idea: platform shoes.
