Impress the Boss With Projectiondesign F80 Projector

Thursday 29 January 2009 @ 8:38 pm

The problem with many corner offices these days is that they’re all glass. That means a lot of sunlight. That’s good of f80-projector1course for your bones and a nice neck tan. But when you present a killer powerpoint, the projector simply can’t beat out all that solar energy.

So you have two options. Buy great shade (which is not always nice looking)…. or obtain a muscular projector that throws out enough light to dissolve a vampire.

I recommend Projectiondesign’s F80 projector- it  is the first 3-chip DLP projector that boasts the following :-

* 15,000:1 contrast ratio
* 8,500 lumens brightness
* Advanced Color Processing technology
* Full HD resolution
* WUXGA and SXGA+ Continue Reading »

Video Eyewear with Cool “See-Thru” Quantum Optics

Tuesday 20 January 2009 @ 8:33 am

It seems that we never run out of accessories for our video ipods. First it was Ganzklar. Then  Chinese imitation goggles. Now Vuzix Corporation is hot on their heels with  a ground-breaking addition to the video eyewearwrap2_view1_300dpi market: the Wrap 920AV. As the demand for realtime access to digital entertainment and online data explodes, Vuzix has once again taken the lead. Here’s a lightweight “movie  screen” solution with Vuzix’ proprietary Quantum optics technology that affords  a “see-thru” viewing experience in the formfactor of a snazzy pair of sunglasses modifiable with many accessories.

The ubercool Wrap 920AV works with any media playing device using a video output and projects a virtual 60-inch screen, as viewed from 9-feet. It’s like being in theatre! The  lens technology empowers users to relish 3D video content while seeing and interacting with their surroundings. This amazing mix of reality and computer generated content will morph the world of portable video while opening up the consumer to  “location aware” applications. Think Minority Report, or something like that. Oh, and there’s an optional 6-Degree of Freedom tracking sensor and/or Stereo Camera Pair will enable users to upgrade their Wrap 920AV to experience virtual, enhanced and mixed reality scenarios.      Continue Reading »

Keyboard Claims to Bust Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

Wednesday 14 January 2009 @ 7:27 pm

At the Consumer Electronics Show, Smartfish Technologies bragged of this good-looking Pro-Motion ergonomic keyboard.pro-motion-keyboards Spokespersons claimed that  the Pro-Motion keyboard  learns from typing style and readily adapt its height, angle and radial position to best fit the typist’s preferences. This I have yet to see over a month, although, I must say that it’s sexy curves and fine aluminum finish drew my eye. No A4tech or Genius keyboard ever looked this good. Oh- and it works on PC & Mac. Drivers are unnecessary for this beauty. It’s true plug and play all the way.

Samsung P3 Widescreen Portable Media Player

Monday 12 January 2009 @ 8:27 pm

I thought I was the coolest thing two years back when I purchased this portable DVD player.  Anytime I was stuck in samsung-p3-pmpgridlock or waiting for my girlfriend to finish shopping at Louis Vuitton, I’d whip out the unit from my man-bag and watch the latest slasher films. Now those bulky units are passe.  Everything from the Sony PSP to the ITouch can play movies in what ever format. And now comes the Samsung which  unveiled its new flagship portable media player, the P3.

P3 is an upgrade of the P2. Like the previous model, the P3 features a 3” WQVGA TFT display (480×272),
FM radio, Bluetooth, and an 8 GB version. The new P3 gets the updated DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology, an upgraded EmoTure™ touch interface with true haptic feedback, voice recording, 16 GB & 32 GB versions and a music easy access key called the “Music Hot Touch Key” . Continue Reading »

Go On a Mind Trip- Legally

Friday 9 January 2009 @ 9:12 am

Some folks risk jailtime for a bit of a high. According to US Law, carrying even a gram of coke can reward you with aboutpsychedelic-package ten years of  jail.  Is that worth it? Hell no. A ten minute high is nothing to a ten year ultra low. Now for those who want to feel a bit of what the addicts experience, check out Salviasupply.com These fine folks sell legal herbs like aya huasca and telepathin which provide non-addictive mind trips that are every bit as cool as a coke rush.  I ordered from them and customs didn’t send me to Guantanamo Bay for rehab.  And best of all, the rush is just as good as when you’re buying a new iphone.

Android On Eee PC 1000H?

Monday 5 January 2009 @ 12:00 am

The average phone enthusiast knows that the Google Android OS is intended for mobileandroid-eee-pc phones such as T-Mobile’s G1. But did you know  that  two fellas at VentureBeat easily reconfigured the system to power an eeePC 1000H. And there’s more! The juiced in the support required for its appendages  such as sound, graphics and  Wi-Fi connectivity. This is definitely exciting news and provides a CHEAP alternative to Windows XP systems running some netbooks today. I can imagine a clear future for cheap sub $200 notebooks that will REALLY allow computing even for the poorest of the poor.

Well done Venturebeat! You made our day!
